Find My Local Group
Speakability supports a national network of Self-Help Groups.
Speakability Self-Help Groups are run by people with Aphasia for people with Aphasia. They meet regularly for mutual support and social activities. They are not therapy groups, but members are encouraged to practise their communication skills in a safe environment and regain their self-confidence. Many Speakability Group members have used our Groups to further their contribution to their local community by becoming volunteers for other organisations. Group members have also found our Groups useful as a support for returning to work.
Speakability currently supports Groups in the following regions:
Yorkshire and The Humber
If there is no Group where you live and you are interested in forming one, please contact Melanie Derbyshire on 020 7261 9572.
