Speak About Aphasia Month 2014

June is SPEAK ABOUT APHASIA MONTH and marks the launch of Speakability’s awareness campaign for 2014/2015.
Do you #recogniseAphasia?

Support our campaign to get Aphasia recognised as a disability.

Only then will people with Aphasia, and their families

and carers receive the services they need.

We’re campaigning for:

  • More awareness of Aphasia, and of the information and practical support available to families / carers of people with Aphasia;
  • More and better services from Hospitals, GPs and Care Homes – with better access to Speech & Language Therapy;
  • More help from banks, shops, transport companies for people with Aphasia;
  • More and better Aphasia training for health and social care professionals.

Please help by telling others about Aphasia and the work of Speakability and by encouraging them to make a donation towards our (FREE) Helpline and information service and towards further development of our national network of Speakability Aphasia Self-Help Groups.
