Congratulations and thanks to Rebecca Pickering on her fantastic Marathon Run for Speakability!
Speakability would like to send a huge thank you to Rebecca for running the London Marathon 2012, raising much-needed funds to help us to continue our work in support of people with Aphasia.
On a (rare!) sunny morning in April, 37,000 people waited patiently to pass the starting line in Greenwich Park and begin running the London Marathon 2012. Rebecca Pickering was amongst the thousands who took part on the day. Rebecca is currently studying Speech and Language Therapy at City University and has been volunteering with the Speakability Waterloo Self-Help Group for two years.

Rebecca very kindly chose to run the Marathon to raise funds for Speakability. Not only did she clock up a marvellous first Marathon time of 4 hours 35 minutes, she has also exceeded her personal sponsorship target, raising a tremendous £2,280.76. Thank you to all those who have donated so generously by sponsoring Rebecca.
